“I couldn’t believe the level of skill we were able to achieve in such a short time.”

I took Adeena’s sewing course and not only did I learn a ton, I had a great time too! Adeena explains things so clearly that even complicated projects become clear and fun. I couldn’t believe the level of skill we were able to achieve in such a short time; I was able to sew something real within the first few weeks!

Financially, it was a great choice: Within the first two months, I easily made back the money I spent on the course through the savings on clothing and even alterations.

I can’t recommend this course enough!

Sew It Yourself

This course is for you if you:

  • …would love clothes that reflect your style instead of settling for what’s on the racks.

A dusty-rose knit cardigan with jewelled buttons and a matching skirt, hung on an ornate antique mirror.
  • …have a sewing machine tucked away somewhere, waiting for “the right time.”

A boxed sewing machine sitting unopened on a crowded hall-closet shelf, between a bike helmet and a stack of storage boxes.
  • …are finally ready to make time for something creative, relaxing and rewarding.

A woman sewing deep purple fabric at a small desk by a sunny window, with a mug and folded fabric beside the machine.
  • …have always been curious about sewing — but life kept getting in the way.

A sewing machine almost buried under dozens of handwritten sticky notes of errands and reminders.
  • …would love to create clothes for the kiddies you love — with your own hands, and a whole lot of heart.

Three little girls in matching handmade pink dresses with embroidered flowers, snuggled on a grandmother's lap.

If sewing was always a skill you admired, why not learn to do it yourself?

“Thanks! I actually sewed that.”

Imagine…

  • Sewing your daughter or granddaughter a personalized gift – like a hair bow, apron or make-up bag.

  • Sewing yourself the comfortable, flattering skirt you reach for every time it’s clean.

  • Fixing up a garment yourself instead of automatically taking it to a seamstress.

It’s not a far-off dream. You can be doing all those things in 14 weeks from now.

Learning to sew is simpler than you think

Sewing isn’t complicated
it just needs to be broken down clearly.

Start sewing now!
Hi! I’m Adeena.

Over the years, I’ve taught more than 150 students to sew… and every single one of them can sew beautifully.

Not because they were “naturally talented,” or because they’d been sewing since they were little… but because when sewing is broken down into simple, manageable steps, anyone can learn!

I keep hearing the same thing: nothing beats holding a skirt you sewed yourself — and having someone ask where you bought it.

I created Sew It Yourself so more people could feel that for themselves — not just the students I get to teach in person!

And honestly? High school is the perfect time to start. Whether you want to sew your own camp wardrobe, make matching sets for your siblings, nieces or cousins, fix and alter your clothes yourself, or finally learn a skill you’ve always admired, this course will take you there.

You’re not just picking up a hobby. You’re learning a skill you’ll use for the rest of your life — and you’ll be the friend everyone comes to when something needs fixing.

I can’t wait to see what you make. You've got this!

“But I’ve never sewn before…” and other questions

  • “I tried sewing once… and I was really bad at it.”

Ugh, that’s no fun. But trust me — it wasn’t you! It all comes down to how it’s taught. Sewing is something anyone can learn when it’s broken into clear steps. Give it one more try and I think you’ll surprise yourself.

  • “What if I fall behind? (Hello, exam season.)”

Once you purchase the course, it’s yours forever. You can watch and rewatch the lessons whenever you like, and I’ll be here to give feedback on your homework for a full year.

We’ll be learning together as a group, which makes it more fun and keeps you going. So there’s no pressure — if a busy school week gets in the way, just catch up when you can.

  • “Do I need my own sewing machine? What about other supplies?”

Yes — you’ll need a sewing machine you can use at home. Borrowing one from your family is totally fine! Shopping for one? Take my quick quiz to find the right machine for your needs and budget.

    Find my machine

When you enroll, you’ll get a clear supply list with links, so you’ll know exactly what to buy. (Fabrics and supplies aren’t included; you’ll pick those up separately.)

  • “I’m scared I’ll ruin my fabric and have to throw the whole thing away.”

Mistakes mostly happen when you’re learning — and we won’t be practicing on expensive or hard-to-replace fabrics. By the time you’re working on fabrics and projects you really care about, you’ll understand the process well enough to sew with confidence.

  • “I’m busy with school. How much time will this take?”

At the suggested pace of one lesson a week, plan on 1–2 hours a week of sewing and practice. The course is self-paced, so you can go faster during vacation and slower during exams — it fits around your schedule.

  • “I’m not sure I want to spend the money. Can’t I just learn from YouTube?”

YouTube is great for bits and pieces. But it teaches you to copy along, not to actually sew. Here, you’ll learn to think like a seamstress and understand the why behind every step. Plus, you’ll get feedback on your work and have someone to ask your questions. It’s a skill you’ll keep for life (and it pays for itself in clothes you don’t have to buy!).

  • “What if everything I make looks homemade?”

It won’t! If you follow the instructions, you’ll have the skills you need to create clothes that look polished and professional!

  • “Nobody my age sews. Isn’t this kind of an old-lady hobby?”

Not at all! Girls your age are sewing matching sets for their siblings and putting together their own camp wardrobes. Sewing is how you get clothes nobody else has — in your style, your colors and your size. And once your friends see what you’ve made, don’t be surprised if they want to learn too.
